Becca Burton, a 23-year-old graduate student at the University of Florida, hula-hoops on the Lake Wauburg beach in Gainesville, Fla. Burton has hula-hooped for about three years and has been featured on Premios Juventud, a Spanish music awards show, and recently visited Dubai to teach at the first hula-hoop in the Middle East.

Former U.S. presidential candidate Ron Paul preaches his libertarian principles of smaller government and hands-off foreign policy to an enthusiastic crowd of 2,062 University of Florida students on April 15, 2013. Such beliefs served as cornerstones of Paul’s campaigning that gained him a seat in the U.S. House representing Texas for three separate spans from 1976 to 2013. But it was his runs for president as the Libertarian candidate in 1988 and a Republican in 2008 and 2012 that turned his name into a national sensation.
